Shaquan Ali-Kalim Barber was born to Renee (Rogers) and Floyd Barber on October 8, 1985 at Columbus Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. He was educated by the East Orange school system. He attended Culinary School in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
Shaquan relocated to Altoona, Pennsylvania. He was employed by various companies. He enjoyed life to the fullest by drawing, writing poetry, sewing, but most of all he treasured his “family” and in return they loved him. Shaquan touched the hearts of many with a smile so bright, he could melt ice. One of Quan’s favorite things was the love for pets - especially strays.
“Officer, I got your pizza! As long as it has anchovies on it.” Was a part of his since of humor that he shared with his mom and dad every time they spoke.
Shaquan was known by: Quan and Twin. He also loved to Reminisce with family and friends about good times shared.
Shaquan was called to rest August 16, 2018 at University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.
Left to cherish his memories, his parents, Renee (Philip Hartsfield) and Floyd, Children: Sierra, Jalil, La Shell, Sanaa, Zion, Siena, Alivia, Sincere, and Hendrixx, Brothers: Raheem Rogers and Antoine Barber, Sister Shatia Barber, grandmother: Catherine Rogers, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and a host of other relatives.
Preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Oscar Rogers, Elaine Guthrie and great grandmother Emma Roberts.
